Shila Mashhadishafie is a Program Counsel within the Legal Services Corporation’s Office of Compliance and Enforcement (OCE). Prior to joining OCE, Shila was a Senior Prosecutor in the Narcotics Division at the Office of the State’s Attorney for Baltimore City, her work included leading and litigating complex felony narcotics investigations, including wire-tap investigations, multi-defendant distribution rings, and related firearms. Shila was hired into OCE in August of 2006, and has often serves as team leader of the on-site review teams responsible for assessing compliance with the LSC Act and implementing authorities. Shila’s expertise within OCE are in 1610 (Program Integrity, and use of LSC, and non-LSC funds), and 1630 (Cost Allocation). Shila also served as the lead trainer for Executive Director Orientation Webinars, and provided training to new OCE program counsels and temporary employees.
Shila is also a volunteer attorney with Probono Resource Center and serves on their Board.
